Steam: Add ~.5 oz. (or 1/6th of the container) of herbs to 1 quart or water in a pot and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and allow to steep for 10 minutes before moving contents to a heat safe bowl. Test the temperature of the steam with the inside of your wrist to make sure it isn’t too hot before using! Use a steaming or shower chair, taking care not to get your body too close to burn yourself. Cover your lower half in a blanket, or wear a long skirt to help trap in heat. Breathe deeply and relax into the divine, healing power of this herbal steam for 20-30 minutes. Gently rinse the area after, pat dry, and follow with a moisturizer. Repeat once a week, or once a month, as necessary.
Sitz: Add ~1 oz. (or 1/3 of the container) of herbs to 2 quarts of boiling hot water. Allow to steep covered for 2 or more hours. Strain the herbs and reheat until warm, not hot. Transfer contents to a wash basin or bathtub, adding enough warm water to bring to hip level if necessary. Test the temperature of the water to make sure it isn’t too hot before getting in! Relax in a comfortable position for 15-20 minutes. Exit the bath slowly, as it is not uncommon to be light headed after relaxing in warm water for some time and gently pat the area dry. Follow with a moisturizer. and repeat once a day for acute situations, or up to once a month for chronic conditions.
Avoid Using: When pregnant, bleeding, using an IUD, have an infection or open wound. Remove genital jewelry before use. Consult with a health care professional if you are concerned with any medical contradictions. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
